Client: School Project (for made up outdoors outfitter called Alphine Outdoors).
Purpose: To design and develope interactve stations for an outdoors outfitter.
This station is an interactive scrolling catalogue showcasing accessories and apparel ensembles available 'in store'. Using Arduino and light-sensing technology, a user is able to pick up a product, triggering different catalogue style layouts of merchandise to appear on screen. The product, plus related clothing items, accessories and/or shoes/boots animate onto the screen based upon which product is being picked up. Other information is available on the screen by way of a button in front of each product picked up. This additional content emphasizes a product by providing more detail.
This station is an interactive image sequence of a backpack, which permits a user a 360˚ view of the product. Based on a user’s gesture, the back pack turns/pirouettes in place. At three stop-points, a video overlays the current image/frame and displays animated schematic style graphics along with information. The user is also able to access additional information on a highlight screen by gesturing forward.
This station is an interactive touchscreen-based product ordering kiosk. It includes three screens: A promotional/instructional video-based screen saver, an interactive swipe-based product image/information screen, and a dynamic shopping cart screen that prints out a receipt for payment and pickup 'in-store'.
